When Reba finds out how Van controls the purse strings in his relationship with Cheyenne, she tries to tactfully convince him to try and treat Cheyenne as an equal, but things don't turn out like she hopes. Elsewhere, Barbra Jean and Reba find out Jake is selling soda at school and try to figure out his reasoning why.
