Overview
Four VW camper vans pitch up at the auction house looking for a new home. Sarah chooses her hippy van of choice on the basis of its hair dryer capabilities.When his father insists he sets off on a long journey to pick up a very rare ‘80s Reliant Scimitar convertible, Paul has his doubts. When he returns with a different car, which he describes as a "tatty old thing that needs a lot of work", it causes heated family discussions.Derek picks up an Austin 16 that "goes like stink and has some unusual modern modifications". But it's a 1940s car that divides opinion, and he takes the grandkids for a day out to the Yorkshire coast, with a couple of car-related stop offs en route.
