On the morning of the Lassiters pigeon race, Piper is devastated to discover that Clementine has eaten two of the three pigeons Karls and Toadies with only Garys surviving. Terese guesses that Paul did it and vows to make the race day a success. Karl is upset about the loss of his investment but Toadie is more easygoing.
